Lecturer for a Day
Representing Prospera, I delivered a workshop for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko Marves) on Thursday, 25 July 2024.
The workshop is part of Kemenko Marves’ efforts to educate non-economists on its roster about National GDP and Ocean Accounts. Along with my co-speaker and line manager, Kak Rendra, I discussed the various GDP accounting methods and how to leverage the newly established Ocean Accounts for policy analysis. Beyond introducing macroeconomics and training in policy analysis with economic data, the workshop also discussed future improvements in Ocean GDP accounting.
Surprisingly, the workshop participants, who came from various institutions under the coordinating ministry, were enthusiastic and engaged. In our survey, they positively rated our workshop with an average of 92 out of 100. The participants even commented that the speakers could clearly explain complex economic concepts in an easy-to-understand manner while interacting with the audience.
When I accepted the job to work with Prospera, I did not expect to become a speaker for a high-profile counterpart in my 4th week with the team. I am grateful for my manager's trust in my ability to deliver this workshop 🙌
Looking forward to more engagements like this one 🤩
